The construction of the Egyptian Bazaar in Istanbul began in 1957 when its roof was constructed in a dazzling architectural style, and it was built in the same place where the Marco Inualus shop was once located during the Byzantine era. 

It is built in The Shape of the letter L for easy entry where you can enter from several entrances. It has 6 doors and 113 shops whose owners speak several languages, which made the visitors of this market from different nationalities and countries of the world. 

The Egyptian Bazaar in Istanbul took its name from the goods transported from India and South Asia to Egypt before reaching Istanbul, and it is also said that the costs of its construction were funded through taxes imposed in Egypt, interestingly,  it was before called the new market, due to the new mosque next to it.
